About Our Client

Our client is a multinational medical technology company with more than 2.000 employees worldwide and market leader in its respective field. Known for its innovative products the company manufactures and supplies medical implants. Due to their expanding business we are searching for an experienced, hands-on and pro-active Accounting Assistant (m/f).

Job Description

  • Conduct administrative and operational accounting duties, including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivables
  • Support the Senior Accountant with complex financial accounting accountabilities such as balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Keep control of all invoices and ensure invoices are processed in time and close the month-end period in the company
  • Manage and process employee cash and credit-card expenses according to the internal travel and expense policy
  • Achieve debt and cash collection targets as set by the Treasury Manager, as well as receive cash from CEE customers and allocate them into the receivable modules
  • Substantiate debts from customers including supplying proof of delivery, copy orders and invoices
  • Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables
  • Respond to queries from suppliers and follow-up internally as required
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required by the Senior Accountant
  • Provide CEE sales and customer service teams with analyses and reports as required to support the business directly with the customer
  • Support reception and office administration of the Vienna office and act as the deputy for the local 'Receptionist & Office Administrator'

The Successful Applicant

  • Successfully completed vocational qualification in accounting or by secondary education
  • Previous work experience is required, preferably in a global/multi-national accounts payable function
  • Experience in supporting internal projects in a Finance function is beneficial
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications is essential
  • Good knowledge of system-based accounting, particularly in Accounts Payable, preferred system knowledge Oracle R12
  • Outstanding German and fluent English skills are mandatory and non-negotiable
  • Pro-active and team-oriented attitude
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and set personal deadlines
  • Good communication and personal interaction skills
  • Process-oriented, highly organized and able to carry out tasks constructively

What's on Offer

For this position our client offers a competitive salary starting at € 32.000,- p.a.. The possibility for overpayment depends upon candidate experiences and qualifications.
