About Our Client

In order to further stimulate and drive the success of our client, one of Europe's largest and most successful companies in the area of commercial real estate, we are looking for an Accounts Payable (m/f). The Accounts payable reports to the Head of Accounting in Vienna. The right person will have great development opportunities in a stimulating and creative environment.

Job Description

- Review, verify all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Set invoices up for payment, enter and upload invoices into the system
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Process check requests
- Analyzing invoice/expense reports, audit and process credit card bills
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Pay vendors, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Assist with other projects as needed
- Ad-hoc requirements

The Successful Applicant

- 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
- High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
- Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment
- Collaborative, team player
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Structured, proactive and self-motivated.
- Stress resistant
- Fluent in German and English, both oral and verbal
