Core competency training

This six month modular course will help you grasp basic recruitment skills and develop your commercial acumen. The training is very interactive, ranging from theory based classroom style, lead discussions, group exercises and role plays, culminating in a presentation to the managing director of the discipline.

Advanced competency training

Designed for experienced consultants, this is one of the most challenging courses run in-house, lasting two days and enjoying a high trainer-to-delegate ratio. It's the perfect opportunity to check, test and extend skills, ultimately leading to a self-managed development plan.Workshop trainingThese workshops are designed to enhance advanced skills in a ‘live' working environment, equipping you to meet the challenges of your market.

Coaching

The work environment at Michael Page is, by nature, supportive. You can expect to receive regular coaching from senior managers and experienced consultants.

Regular appraisals

Your line manager will oversee quarterly appraisals to clarify your strengths, identify areas for improvement and set out your aims for the coming months. Past experience suggests that this kind of open dialogue can shape your future within the group.

Management development programmes

A phased management programme has been designed to hone the development of key skills including: coaching, motivation, leadership and personality profiling.

Manager training

This is undertaken by all new managers within their first 18 months, irrespective of experience prior to joining Michael Page. The course is modular, attended at three month intervals and includes discussions, presentations and work groups. Mentored by directors, external trainers and members of the in-house training team, the ideas and techniques shared here will serve you for the rest of your career.

Preparation for the Directorate

This modular course aims to refine your vision and leadership skills. The training is facilitated by our partnership with an external organisation specialising in diagnostic research.
