Job Description

As a valued member of our Business Legal Team, you will play a key role in providing world-class strategic legal advice and guidance to our money transfer and payments business in Europe. You will be responsible for advising business, compliance, legal, and other internal stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters. You will utilize your legal expertise in respect of advising on products and commercial arrangements with new and existing partners. We will look to you for advice on licensing and other regulatory requirements in the region relating to Western Union activities and products, particularly on Western Union's licensed entities in Europe.
The Successful Applicant
You will need to hold a Law degree and have experience in delivering strategic business legal support with a strong focus on financial services, banking, or the payments industries, gained in either a law firm or a corporate in-house legal department. A bar exam or similar professional qualification will be an advantage. You need to have the ability to work independently, provide practical, timely, solution-oriented decisions, and advice. Also, you will be comfortable working on multiple projects and demonstrate strong self-motivation, as well as have effective and persuasive oral and written communication skills. You will be fluent in English and German.
