Job Description

  1. Test Planning and Design:
    • Develop and document detailed integration test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand integration requirements and define testing scope.

  2. Test Execution:
    • Execute integration tests, both manual and automated, to validate the interaction between different systems and components.
    • Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the integration process.

  3. Environment Setup:
    • Set up and configure test environments that mirror production settings to ensure accurate testing conditions.
    • Work with IT and DevOps teams to manage and maintain testing environments.

  4. Issue Resolution:
    • Investigate and diagnose integration issues, working closely with development teams to resolve them.
    • Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure that resolved issues do not impact other functionalities.

  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.
    • Generate and present detailed reports on integration test activities, including defect analysis and testing metrics.

  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve integration testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in integration testing.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in integration testing, preferably in a complex software environment.
  • Strong understanding of integration testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with API testing and familiarity with REST and SOAP protocols.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of data integration and ETL processes.
