Aufgabengebiet
The Regional Accounting Manager is a key-role within the Finance department. The position is directly involved in several cross-functional and cross-countries projects such as new countries openings, launches of new business channels, systems enhancements or rollouts…
Main responsibilities:
- Organizing & following accounting daily tasks by respecting Group segregation of duties (AP & AR management, assets & stock monitoring, Balance Sheet reconciliation including payroll, Bank & Sales reconciliation)
- Providing & reporting monthly closing and year-end local GAAP & IFRS financial statements aligned with local & Group procedures
- Providing & reporting corporate tax returns & VAT returns
- Managing treasury (cash management, cash flow budgeting & forecasting, financing request follow-up, Group cash pooling monitoring)
- Formalizing Group internal control procedures and ensuring its compliancy at accounting level (e.g., purchasing procedures, travel & expense procedures…)
- Leading or contributing to finance / business projects
- Leading and coordinating relation with Group Finance team, external auditors, tax auditors and tax advisors
Anforderungsprofil
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration,
- Professional certification from recognized accounting designation is desired (CPA, ACCA, CMA,…)
- 7 to 10 years of proven experience leading a team in accounting and tax within a multi-entities environment
- At ease with consolidation & reporting processes of best-in-class multinational companies
- Excellent technical knowledge and deep understanding of IFRS
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Customer service approach to the business and to Senior Management
- Ability to drive work independently and run multiple projects that vary in scope and
complexity simultaneously - Very good time management and prioritizing skills, mindful of deadlines, highly organized and ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
- Good IT skills. SAP knowledge would be a plus.
- Fluency in English (mandatory) & German (highly desirable), good knowledge of French (an asset)
