On behalf of our client, an internationally active engineering and plant construction company based in the Salzburg region, we are seeking a Senior PLC Programmer (m/f/d).In this role, you will take ownership of PLC programming for international process plant projects. You will develop automation solutions, support projects from concept development through commissioning, and collaborate closely with multiple engineering disciplines.

Aufgabengebiet

  • Development of automation and visualisation solutions for customised process and production plants
  • Programming and further development of PLC software from scratch using Siemens TIA Portal
  • Development, modification and optimisation of SCADA systems, particularly WinCC Flexible
  • Technical coordination with customers and clarification of project-specific requirements
  • Support during Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and international commissioning activities
  • Analysis, optimisation and continuous improvement of existing automation and control systems
  • Close collaboration with Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Project Management teams

Anforderungsprofil

  • Completed technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering (apprenticeship, technical college, university of applied sciences or university degree)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PLC programming, ideally within plant engineering or industrial automation
  • Strong expertise with Siemens TIA Portal
  • Solid experience with SCADA systems in industrial process environments, ideally WinCC Flexible
  • Experience within plant engineering, the chemical, pharmaceutical, food or process industries is considered an advantage
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
  • German language skills are beneficial but not required
  • Independent, structured and self-driven way of working
  • Strong sense of responsibility, reliability and quality awareness
  • Willingness to travel internationally and participate in project-related commissioning activities
